Wedding Cinematography
The memories that you will create on your wedding day will be some of the most cherished memories of your life and should only be handled by trusted people to document!
I’ve filmed MANY weddings since June 2003 not only locally, but all across Tennessee, Virginia, Kentucky, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, even as far out as Las Vegas and Seattle, WA!
I have been doing more and more Corporate & Broadcast type of filming & productions which keeps me very busy. PLUS, I have a family now and promised myself that I wouldn’t let work overrule my personal life ever again! Ironically, devoting pretty much all of my time editing weddings ultimately led to a divorce. I would spend many hours editing each wedding and was doing 20-30 weddings a year.
The secret to having a very nice and high-quality wedding film is to have the right person/team with experience and who know how to do it ALL right. Gear is important, but it doesn’t guarantee you’ll get what you want or expect. It’s having the skills of composing the shots in the camera, adjust to the changing lighting scenarios, record great audio throughout the day, edit it to be something you want to watch more than once, adjust levels and color balance of all the cameras used to match AND to not be just that “default out of the camera video look” and much more to make it great!
The people who I used to work with and refer potential wedding clients to have also moved on. Unfortunately, I don’t know who to refer people off to anymore as I’m not in that circle. If you are looking for someone to film your wedding, I strongly urge you to find someone who is very open with you about their process and above everything, who’s work you prefer! Don’t just look at highlight videos, watch one of their full-length versions so you will know what you’re getting! Ask your photographer as they should have some they would recommend. That would be good too because your photographer and videographer should work well together!
I give you my best wishes for your upcoming wedding and many years of happiness!
Here is a highlight video from one of the last weddings I filmed. All weddings are unique in their own way, but this one was truly special as it was two of my friends getting married and actually recorded the proposal! The setup was having Stacey think she was doing a commercial for another project. I still can’t believe we pulled that off without her knowing!
