You can think of these as “how many cars are on the road.” It doesn’t mean all the cars are going to wreck, but the higher the number, the more chances or opportunities there will be.
A person may have higher than normal Apolipoprotein B even when their LDL-C levels are “normal” or only slightly elevated. In these cases, monitoring Apo B can help to evaluate part of the risk a person is at for developing heart disease.
